Case summary
On September 11, 2019, EPA conducted a compliance evaluation inspection of the Town's MS4. The goal of this Inspection was to evaluate the NYSDEC MS4 Permit, and its implementation by the Town. Based on the paperwork reviews and field visits conducted during the Inspection, numerous noncompliance items were observed. This included a failure to properly develop and maintain the Town outfall map, failure to conduct self-assents of municipal operations, failure to implement appropriate pollution prevention and good housekeeping BMPs at municipal facilities, and failure to document application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
