Case summary
This is an Administrative Settlement Agreement for recovery of past costs with respect to the White Swan Cleaners/Sun Cleaners Area Ground Water Contamination Superfund Site. The Settlement Agreement resolves the potential liability of the Respondent for certain past response costs paid by EPA in connection with EPA?s oversight of its performance of the remedial design and remedial action for a portion of the Site relating to the White Swan Property Source Area remediation. EPA has incurred response costs in overseeing Settling Party?s performance of work under a RD/RA UAO totaling $381,673.10 for a time frame covering August 31, 2014, through August 31, 2017. By letter dated August 23, 2019, the Settling Party has agreed to pay this amount in full. EPA is, therefore, collecting 100% of the demanded amount, plus interest, and there are no compromises being made pursuant to this settlement.
