Case summary
Due to passage of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and the unprecedented damage and impairments to infrastructure, telecommunications (i.e. internet access), electrical power services, potable water distribution, and reduction in labor force, EPA and the Respondent executed an Administrative Order on Consent, which addresses emergency-related construction projects in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The ordered provisions provide temporary coverage under the NPDES Construction General Permit (CGP) while the Respondent compiles and submits information to EPA to ultimately file for and obtain coverage under the CGP.
