Case summary

The Respondent owns and operates the facility located at or near 4002 Sylon Blvd in Hainesport, NJ 07866. Stormwater from the facility drain to the South Branch Rancocas Creek. Respondent has coverage for its stormwater discharges under an individual NJPDES Permit. EPA conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) at the Facility on June 6, 2018 and identified noncompliance items, including, but not limited to the following: Failure to implement the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP); failure to fully develop and implement Best Management Practices (BMP) including failure to cover full containers, and failure to prevent leachate exposure to stormwater. The Administrative Order requires Respondent to comply with the terms and conditions of its NJPDES permit. The Order is being issued with an Information Request, which requires, among other things, Respondent to revise the SPPP, and to submit a plan of action for addression non-compliance items
