EPA v. Willingboro Township Municipal Utilities Authority
Final Order No Penalty
Case summary
This AO has not been developed based on the need to eliminate existing discharges to receiving water bodies. Instead, it has been developed to enforce SPDES permit requirements regarding proper O&M of the sanitary sewer system. As such, there is no associated pollutant loading reduction. Injunctive relief focuses on the development of written O&M procedures. For purposes of this AO, it is assumed that an overall cost of $1,500 is required to develop such procedures. The AO also requires the Permittee to provide a description of any releases of sanitary sewage, and report to NJDEP, for the past 5 years.
