Case summary
Respondent is in violation of the maximum contaminant level (MCL) for combined radium -226/-228. Respondent was issued an Administrative Order (AO) in April 2016 that required Respondent to submit a plan to correct the violation. Respondent has worked with the local health department to develop a schedule to install treatment. EPA is in receipt of a schedule to install permanent centralized treatment and the AO places Respondent on an enforceable schedule to do so. Injunctive relief has been captured under previous AOs, as Respondent returned to compliance for a period of time and stopped moving forward with centralized treatment.
