Case summary
Respondent is a permitted Phase II MS4 in New Jersey. A MS4 Audit of Respondent's statewide system was conducted on April 12-14, 2016 and determined that the Respondent was not complying with certain terms and conditions of the NJDEP Highway Agency General Stormwater Permit. Violations include: failure to ensure adequate long-term operation and maintenance for BMPs on property owned and operated by Respondent, failure to implement storm drain inlet labeling program, failure to cover dumpsters, failure to fully implement the illicit connection and MS4 outfall pipe mapping requirements, failure to implement Respondent's street sweeping program, failure to record and track all vehicle washing activities and provide training to employees on vehicle washing activities, and failure to fully implement the maintenance yard operations requirements. An Administrative Compliance Order is being issued to order Respondent to comply with MS4 General Permit conditions.
