Case summary
On May 6, 2015, EPA conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) at the facility and identified evidence of a process wastewater discharge associated with glass polishing from the facility to the Eleventh Street Basin of the East River. The Order requires the Respondent to cease and desist the unpermitted discharge of process wastewater. The Order also requires the Respondent to provide a written response describing how it has addressed stormwater coming in contact with process wastewater drums and settled polishing material, which were located outdoors at the facility at the time of the CEI.
