Case summary

On May 28, 2015, EPA conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) of the facility. As a result of the CEI, EPA identified the Respondent was not complying with certain terms and conditions of the NJDEP NJPDES Vehicle Recycling Industrial Stormwater General Permit. Violations include: failure to retain records, failure to utilize a Fluid Draining and Dismantling Area, failure to store motor vehicle fluids indoors or on a bermed, impervious surface under cover, and failure to clean up fluid spills. An Administrative Compliance Order is being issued to order the Respondent to comply with the RVR General Permit conditions.
