Case summary

On May 28, 2015, EPA conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) of the facility. As a result of the CEI, EPA identified the Respondent was not complying with certain terms and conditions of the NJDEP NJPDES Vehicle Recycling Industrial Stormwater General Permit. Violations include: failure to retain records, failure to develop an adequate SPPP and Site Map, failure to have a dedicated spill kit in the Fluid Draining and Dismantling Area, failure to store motor vehicle fluids indoors or on a bermed, impervious surface under cover, failure to clean up fluid spills and failure to conduct and document annual employee training. An Administrative Compliance Order is being issued to order the Respondent to comply with the RVR General Permit conditions.
