Case summary
On March 19, 2015, EPA conducted a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Audit of the University MS4. As a result of the audit, EPA identified that the University was not complying with certain terms and conditions of the NYSDEC General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from MS4s. Violations include: failure to implement third party certifications, failure to fully develop and implement a post-construction program, and failure to fully develop and implement a pollution prevention and good housekeeping program. An Administrative Compliance Order is being issued to order the University to comply with MS4 General Permit conditions.
