Case summary
On August 26 - 28, 2014, EPA conducted a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Audit of the Town. As a result of the audit, EPA identified that the Town was not complying with certain terms and conditions of the NYSDEC General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from MS4s. Violations include: failure to fully develop and implement the Stormwater Management Program Plan, failure to fully develop and implement an illicit discharge, detection and elimination program, failure to fully develop and implement a stormwater construction program, failure to fully develop and implement a post-construction program, and failure to fully develop and implement a pollution prevention and good housekeeping program and complete self-assessments of municipal facilities as required. An Administrative Compliance Order is being issued to order the Town to comply with MS4 General Permit conditions.
