Case summary
The assistance of DOJ is sought in obtaining a warrant in aid of access to allow a removal action to commence at the Site. EPA has been working with the U.S. Attorney�s office in Camden on the basis of a verbal request and this referral is to document that request. The owner and its principal refused to voluntarily provide access. Warrant obtained through U.S. Attorney's Office, Camden, on September 12, 2013, for limited purpose of investigation and sampling. After obtaining a limited warrant for inspection and sampling on Sept. 12, 2013, EPA found hazardous substances and sought an expanded warrant for removal activity, which was granted on September 27, 2013. The Court extended the warrant on May, 1, 2014.
