Case summary

EPA's representative conducted inspections on July 11, 2007 and on June 18, 2009. Inspections revealed that facility has a total of four floor drains, three in the truck storage area and one in the maintenance area. All drains receive overnight truck runoff and maintenance area drain also receives vehicle runoff and occasional truck wash wastewater. Drains supposedly discharge into a drywell and into a buried leachfield situated between the two shop buildings on site. The aforementioned wells are Class V under the UIC Program and are currently operating without permit or authorization. EPA seeks to have Respondent discontinue the uses of the drain disposal system for the disposal of industrial waste and to submit and comply with a Well Remediation Plan.
