Respondents utilize two injection wells to inject liquefied petroleum gas for storage purposes as well as to inject brine to maintain storage cavern pressure when removing LPG from storage. The injection of LPG for storage is exempt from EPA UIC regulation whereas the injection of brine is not. Therefore, Respondents are in violation for injecting brine without authorization. Respondents applied for and obtained a permit for continued injection and have achieved compliance.
