Case summary

This is a de minimis settlement with the PRP who sent a de minimis amount of hazardous substances to the Consolidated Iron and Metal Site, Newburgh, New York. The Respondent sent 140,275 lbs of tracked waste - scrap materials containing hazardous substances (i.e. PCBs and VOCs) to the Site, which when processed at the Site, caused a release of hazardous substances. The Respondent is paying its share of all past and estimated future costs, plus a premium.
