This was one of numerous facilities inspected in the Binghamton, NY, area in fulfillment of the UST Compliance Act (USTCA) requirement to inspect all UST facilities which have not been inspected since Dec. 1998. The Inspector issued the facility Field Citation II-UST-FC-1050, in the amount of $300, for the following violations: 40 CFR 280.31(b), failure to ensure proper operation of cathodic protection system; and 280.45, failure to maintain records of release detection monitoring.
