Case summary
Suiza was found to be in violation of the General Duty Clause of the CAA by failing to ensure facility safety and prevent releases of ammonia from its dairy production/distribution in Aguadilla Facility. EPA ordered Suiza Dairy to take necessary steps to identify hazards which may result from accidental releases of regulated substances and other extremely hazardous substances from the Facility, to design and maintain a safe facility taking such steps as are necessary to prevent releases, and minimize the consequences of accidental releases which do occur.
