Case summary

PRASA has violated the Clean Water Act by intermittently discharging sewage (wastewater) through a point source (a sewer pipeline) into Waters of the United States since at least November 25,2005. In order to stop the discharge of sewage, PRASA will have to contruct a new trunk sewer and have to provide operation and maintenance to the Puerto Nuevo Sur and Caparra Terrace Sewage Collection Systems. The sewage colelction systen of the Puerto Nuevo Sur and Caparra Terrace Developments Sewage Collection Systema are tributaries of the Puerto Nuevo Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant for final treatment. PRASA will have to provide a complaince plan to stop permanently the discharges of sewage to waters of the United States.
