Case summary
This facility was one of several UST facilities selected for inspection because of it's location in a ground water endangerment risk area in NYS. The facility was issued Field Citation II-UST-FC-600, in the amount of $350, for the following violations: 40 CFR 280.34(c)(1): failure to maintain records at UST site; and 280.41(a): failure to monitor tanks at least every 30 days. To address the release detection violation the facility had to pay a contractor $432 to replace a faulty interstitial sensor in the annular space of the gasoline UST.
