Case summary
This facility was one of several UST facilities selected for inspection because of it's location in a ground water endangerment risk area in NYS. The facility was issued Field Citation II-UST-FC-599, in the amount of $600, for the following violations: 40 CFR 280.40(a): failure to provide adequate release detection method; and 280.21(d): failure to provide overfill protection for UST. To address the violations the facility permanently closed (removed) the UST; no contamination was found.
