Case summary
On June 01, 2005, an EPA representative from the Caribbean Environmental Protection Division, conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection (CEI) of the Boqueron Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)and found violations to effluent limtations established in its NPDES permit, for failure to provide proper Operation and Maintenance at the facility. The Order require PRASA to maximize the Operation and Maintenance at the Boqueron WWTP in order to achieve and maintain compliance with all the final effluent limitations. In addition, PRASA within forty five (45) calendar days of receipt of this ORDER, PRASA shall submit a compliance plan to EPA-CEPD that outlines a schedule, for the completion of all the permanent repairs needed to correct the deficiencies found at the Boqueron WWTP during the EPA CEI of June 01,2005.
