Case summary
Administrative Order on Consent that provides for the performance of a remedial investigation and feasibility study (RI/FS) for Operable Unit 2 at the Pesticide Warehouse III Superfund Site, an NPL site located in Manati, Puerto Rico, and the reimbursement of future costs. Respondents to the Order are owner/operators of the Site property. Under the Order, Respondents will perform the RI/FS for the second operable unit at the Site which is intended to evaluate groundwater contamination. The Order also calls for the reimbursement of response costs incurred by EPA in overseeing Respondents' implementation of the Work required by the Order. Earlier this year, the Region entered into a separate Agreement and Order for the performance of the RI/FS for a first operable unit at the Site addressing soil contamination at the Site.
