Case summary

This facility was inspected during the NJDEP and EPA Paterson Sweep in December 2003. The facility operator was issued Field Citation II-UST-FC-566 in the amount of $2200 for the following violations: 40 CFR 280.22(a): failure to notify state or local agency within 30 days of using an UST system; 280.21(b): failure to meet all tank upgrade standards; 280.41(a): failure to monitor tank at least every 30 days; 280.44(a): failure to conduct annual test of the operation of ALLD; and 280.45: failure to maintain records of release detection monitoring. To address the violation of 280.21(b), the substandard UST has been removed and the facility is working with NJDEP on the requisitive sampling and remediation.
