Case summary
This facility was inspected during the NJDEP and EPA Camden Sweep in October 2002. The facility owner was issued Field Citation II-UST-FC-485 in the amount of $2050 for the following violations: 40 CFR 280.21(b), Failure to meet all UST upgrade standards; 280.31(b), Failure to ensure proper operation of cathodic protection system; 280.40(a), Failure to provide adequate release detection method; and 280.20(c), Failure to use an overfill prevention system. While all violations have been corrected, the analyticals for the waste oil UST (which was removed) have yet to be done. According to the contractor, there was no visual evidence of contamination from the waste oil UST.
