Case summary
The EPA inspections performed on October 18 and 31, 2002 revealed that the raw sewage overflows on Las Americas Expressway sanitary lin (PR#18) continued beyond the dates that PRASA reported to EPA in the bypass notifications. According to the bypass notification sent to EPA on October 7, 2002 it stated that the event started on October 3, 2002 and was expected to end by October 11, 2002. The bypass was not corrected and PRASA did not send to EPA any revised notification. This failure is a violation of General Condition C.12 of Attachment 1, of the NPDES permit and of 40 CFR �122.41(6).
