Case summary

On August 28, 2024, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative order (Order) to Somerset WPCF of Somerset, Massachusetts for failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their Clean Water Act National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. The Order requires the permittee to submit all outstanding DMRs and continue to report as required by their permit. While EPA is responsible for implementing the Clean Water Act in Massachusetts, EPA also notified the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection of this action.
