Case summary

On August 27, 2024, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) administrative order (Order) to an Alton Bay, New Hampshire facility for failure to submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) pursuant to their Clean Water Act National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. The West Alton Marina LLC in Alton Bay is authorized to discharge under the Multi Sector General Permit (MSGP). The Order requires the permittee to submit all outstanding DMRs and continue to report as required by their permit. While EPA is responsible for implementing the Clean Water Act in New Hampshire, EPA also notified the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services of this action.
