On April 26, 2024, the Regional Judicial Officer approved an expedited settlement agreement with 603 Auto Salvage, Inc. 603 Auto of Plaistow, New Hampshire resolving violations of Section 301 of the Clean Water Act. These discharges were neither authorized by an individual National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System ( NPDES ) permit nor the NPDES Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity ( MSGP ). The company promptly worked towards obtaining MSGP coverage. The settlement requires that the company pay a $2,000 penalty.
