On November 14, 2022, EPA Region 1 entered into a combined Complaint and Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) with the Town of Southington, Connecticut, to resolve EPA's claim that the Town violated the Toxic Substances Control Act by continuing to use polychlorinated bi-phenyls (PCBs) in vapor barriers and mastic at two middle schools: the Joseph A.
