The alleged violations, which occurred between 2018 and 2021, involve the mechanical clearing and filling of wetlands covered by the CWA to create farm fields and the excavation and channelization of several jurisdictional tributaries on the site. Under the terms of the settlement, Silenex Associates, LLC will restore and/or mitigate 8.5 acres of freshwater wetlands and approximately 3,000 linear feet of the impacted tributaries to their natural condition. The Region coordinated with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection on this matter.
