Case summary
On September 6, 2023 the Regional Judicial Officer approved an expedited settlement agreement with Desmond Yacht Yard, Inc. ( Desmond Yacht ) of Beverly, Massachusetts resolving violations of Section 301 of the Clean Water Act. On November 1, 2022, the EPA Region 1 (the Region ) conducted an inspection of the facility and found that the facility was discharging stormwater associated with industrial activities from point sources at the site. The company promptly worked towards obtaining MSGP coverage. The settlement requires that the company pay a $15,000 penalty.
