EPA alleged that Respondent which performs renovations on the TV show, Maine Cabin Masters, performed five renovations during calendar year 2020 at target housing in violation of RRP Rule requirements. Specifically, EPA alleged that Kennebec failed to: (1) obtain recertification before beginning renovations; (2) assign a certified renovator to each renovation; (3) provide the owner of each unit with the EPA-approved lead hazard information pamphlet; and (4) maintain records. Kennebec will pay a $16,500 penalty and come into compliance with the RRP Rule. Kennebec also will perform certain conditions outlined in the Consent Agreement.
