Case summary
On September 28, 2022, EPA issued a Clean Water Act (CWA) Administrative Order (AO) to the town of Auburn, New Hampshire for violations of the dry-weather outfall screening requirements of the town's municipal separate stormwater sewer system (MS4) permit. The MS4 permittee covered by the 2017 MS4 Permit in New Hampshire was required to complete screening of all stormwater outfalls/interconnections (with limited exceptions) for the presence of dry-weather flow by July 1, 2021.
