On June 23, EPA-Region 1 filed an expedited settlement agreement (Agreement) addressing J & F Marinella Development Corporation's alleged violations of the General Permit for Discharges from Construction Activities (CGP) at the Cobbler's Knoll site in Uxbridge, MA. On December 15, 2021, EPA conducted an inspection at Cobbler's Knoll and observed the operator had failure to maintain soil erosion controls and the failed to stabilize slopes, in violation of the CGP. Pursuant to the Agreement, J & F Marinella Development Corporation will pay a $4,500 penalty. EPA implements the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System program in Massachusetts.
