Case summary

EPA has entered into an Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent for Removal Action relating to the BJAT, LLC Superfund Site located in Franklin, Massachusetts. The Respondents are BJAT, LLC, and Hasco Associates, LP, who own property at the Site. The proposed Settlement Agreement requires implementation of the removal action selected by EPA in an Action Memorandum dated August 7, 2017. The removal action includes, but is not limited to excavation of drums and other containers of waste and approximately 2,114 tons of contaminated soil, treatment of excavated soil on site if appropriate, and off-site disposal. The Respondents will also pay 100% of EPA?s future response costs as defined in the Settlement Agreement.
