Case summary
Contaminated aquifer with Perfluorinatred Compounds ('PCFs') consisting of perflluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) as a result of firefighting activities. PFOs were detected in three municipal wells. One municipal well, supplying water to 8,000 people, was shut down due to high PFC levels. One private residential well was also affected by PFOS contamination.
