On April 16, 2015, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts issued an Administrative Inspection Warrant for the Microfab, Inc. Site located at 104-106 Haverhill Road in Amesbury, Massachusetts. The warrant allows authorized EPA representatives to access the Site for the purpose of conducting a response action under CERCLA Section 104. The Region plans to conduct a site assessment in May 2015 to determine whether additional response actions are needed at the Site. The Site is currently vacant and the former location of Microfab, Inc. which engaged in the manufacture of printed circuit boards, electroplating, and related operations. Previous groundwater sampling at the Site showed elevated levels of volatile organic compounds
