Case summary
On August 5, 2013, the Region filed an expedited settlement agreement with Suttles Truck Leasing, LLC of North Grafton, Massachusetts resolving violations of Section 311(b)(3) of the Clean Water Act. On February 17, 2013, Suttles' inadvertently released approximately 1,300 gallons of oil from a day tank, which flowed across an asphalt parking lot into an unnamed stream, and ultimately caused a sheen on the Quinsigamond River. The company responded promptly to the spill and undertook cleanup responsibilities. The company agreed to a $3,000 penalty.
