Case summary
On January 30, 2013, Region 1 entered into an Administrative Order on Consent with Waterville Valley Resort, LLC under Sections 311(c) and (e) of the CWA in which the company will bring its New England ski resort into full compliance with the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations. The company has also signed an Expedited Settlement Agreement and agreed to pay a $3,000 penalty for having failed to fully implement its Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plan at its ski mountain. EPA has worked in close coordination with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services in this matter.
