Matter settled - based upon all-applicable factors- for $30,000. On September 27, 2012, Region 1 filed a Complaint alleging that Collegiate Entrepreneurs, Inc. (Collegiate) violated the pre-renovation education (PRE) and record keeping requirements of the Renovation Repair and Painting Rule (RRP), 40 C.F.R. Part 745, Subpart E, and Sections 15 and 409 of TSCA when it failed to provide EPA’s lead hazard information pamphlet to customers before undertaking 75 renovation projects in several Massachusetts communities between May and July 2009 and when it failed to comply with the record-keeping requirements found at 40 C.F.R. § 745.86 in connection with seven renovation projects undertaken in Massachusetts communities during the summer of 2010.
