Case summary
Expedited Settlement Agreement with $3,000 penalty for SPCC violations. On March 30, 2012, Region 1 entered into a compliance order on consent with First Student, Inc. to ensure that all of its 60 New England facilities subject to the Oil Pollution Prevention Regulations are in full compliance with those requirements by September 30, 2012. The facilities are used primarily as school bus depots. In addition, the company paid two $3,000 penalties under the Regions Clean Water Act Section 311 Expedited Settlement program to resolve SPCC violations at two of First Students facilities located in Charlton, Massachusetts and Trumbull, Connecticut.
