Case summary
On April 12, 2012, EPA entered into an expedited settlement agreement with Green Mountain Railroad Tank Farm (Green Mountain) of North Walpole, New Hampshire addressing violations of the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations at 40 C.F.R. Part 112, promulgated under Section 311(j) of the Clean Water Act. EPAs SPCC inspection at Green Mountains facility revealed that the facility did not have a fully implemented SPCC plan. Pursuant to the agreement, Green Mountain paid an $8,000 penalty.
