Case summary
On September 30, 2011, Region 1 referred to the Department of Justice an action against Guy Snowden, FCF Realty LLC, Falls Creek Farm LLC and Falls Creek Farm, Inc. in connection with violations of Section 301 of the Clean Water Act at Falls Creek Farm, a 340-acre farm located on the Connecticut/Rhode Island border in Oneco, Connecticut. Since 1995, at least 10.5 acres of wetlands and waters were illegally filled and altered in piecemeal fashion at fourteen different sites on the farm. Defendants did not obtain a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers as required under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.
