On April 5, 2011, Region I issued an administrative order to Grimmel Industries, L.L.C. of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Grimmel discharged contaminated storm water to the Piscataqua River in exceedance of permitted limits, discharged certain process waste waters without a permit, failed to do required inspections or sampling, and failed to undertake a required Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan review. Grimmel leases the Portsmouth property from Pease Development Authority and is subject to the Multi-Sector General Permit.
