Case summary
On February 25, 2010, Region I issued two Immediate Compliance Orders under Section 113(a)(3) of the Clean Air Act involving a renovation operation at the United States Post Office and Courthouse located at 151 West Street in Rutland, Vermont. In both cases the Respondents were cited under the Asbestos NESHAP for failing to provide EPA with written notification of a change in start date for the renovation operation as soon as possible, and no later than, the original start date. Both United States General Services Administration of Boston, MA was cited for failing to provide EPA with revised notification of the renovation of the United States Post Office and Courthouse located at 151 West Street in Rutland, Vermont. The orders require each Respondent to immediately comply with the Asbestos NESHAP.
