Case summary

The AO contains EPA’s findings that Cedar has violated the federal Stratospheric Ozone Protection regulations found at 40 C.F.R. Part 82, Subpart F. These regulations establish requirements for the service, maintenance, repair, and disposal of certain refrigeration equipment that contains ozone-depleting substances. Cedar’s violated leak repair, recordkeeping, and initial and follow-up testing requirements. As a result, Cedar’s may have emitted excess ozone-depleting substances into the atmosphere.
