Case summary
On September 12, 2008, approximately 90-120 gallons of used cooking oil was discharged from a dumpster at the Big Y Supermarket facility. The Spill was discovered when the town DPW was working the rear of the store. A grease stain was observed on September 11, 2008 by DPW personnel, and they requested that the Big Y Supermarket take steps to clean it up. A Cleaning company was dispatched, and could not clean the area thoroughly.
