ON NOVEMBER 6, 2005 AT 8pm, THERE WAS A RELEASE OF APPROXIMATELY 1700 POUNDS OF ANHYDROUS AMMONIA FROM THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM OF THE BARBER FOODS FACILITY. THE VIOLATIONS INCLUDE THE FAILURE TO IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE NATIONAL RESPONSE CENTER ( NRC ) OF THE RELEASE, IN VIOLATION OF SECTION 103 CERCLA, AND FAILURE TO IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE LEPC AND SERC OF THE RELEASE IN VIOLATION OF SECTION 304 OF EPCRA.
