Case summary

On April 25, 2006, the Region issued an Administrative Order to Compel Compliance With an Information Request and Access to Documents Pursuant to CERCLA ý 104(e) to J. Kenton Wright, president and owner of J. K. Wright, Inc. J.K. Wright, Inc. (ýJ.K. Wrightý), is a non-settling PRP at the West Site/Hows Corner Superfund Site, Plymouth, Maine (ýsiteý). On July 27, 2005, EPA sent a certified letter, return receipt requested, to J. Kenton Wright, president and owner of J.K. Wright, requesting certain additional information, pursuant to CERCLA ý 104(e), concerning the sale of the business (supplemental information request). Mr. Wright refused to accept delivery of the supplemental information request by certified mail, so it was hand-delivered to him on August 10, 2005. To date, Mr. Wright has failed to respond to the supplemental information request, and has also refused to accept EPA warning letters sent to both his residence in Maine and a second residence in Florida.
